Sanja Solunac – Visual and interdisciplinary artist
Sanja Solunac (b. 1987, Kragujevac, Serbia) is a multimedia and interdisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, video, text, and digital media. Her artistic practice focuses on themes of body, identity, emotional states, and collective memory, often exploring the relationship between personal experience and broader social contexts.
She graduated from the Faculty of Philology and Arts at the University of Kragujevac, Department of Fine and Applied Arts, where she also completed her Master’s degree. In 2012, she completed the Women’s Studies Program at the Women’s Studies Center in Belgrade. She is a recipient of the Dositeja Young Talents Fund scholarship and a member of The Association of Applied Arts Artists and Designers of Serbia (ULUPUDS).
Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the University of Arts in Belgrade, Interdisciplinary Studies program in Digital Art, while working as an independent artist and multimedia designer.
To date, she has realized six solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions, artistic collaborations, and socially engaged projects in Serbia and abroad since 2008.
